Thoughts and feelings are two sides of the same coin - you can’t have one without the other! That’s why “thinking positively” is so popular, because when you have a positive thought you have a positive feeling. The trouble is you can’t control your thoughts, which means you can’t control your feelings. You can try avoiding your feelings (dieting is a popular tactic for this!), but avoidance doesn’t mean they go away. They stay within waiting for the next opportunity to arise.
